The trip to LA has been more fun than usual (which I didn't even know could happen). The sun is shining and the city is buzzing with the Oscars only days away. The Style Studio LA office has been very busy between TV spots and clients needing last minute items. Today I spent the day running between meetings but took time out to stop at Haven House, a fabulous Oscar gifting experience. The vendors were fabulous and everyone was very generous. I love stopping by these events because it is a fabulous way to find the latest and greatest in product, services, designers, and more. The valet parking is a must because this particular event was at a private home deep in the hills behind the 90210. After being served the hottest new cocktail (something fizzy with vodka, grapefruit and lime), I met with designers, handbag lines, a hat company, new jewelry line, ran into a few old friends, and finally ventured upstairs to the spa. OPI gave me a manicure, along with a gift bag full of their polish in the hottest spring colors, cuticle cream, hand cream, and files. I passed on laser services (too many meetings afterward to go with a red face), but found my favorite service of the day with Lovely Lashes. A hot new lash salon in So Cal, these girls can give you any look you want using nothing but lashes, cat eyes, high glam, or full everyday lashes. I went for everyday glamour (watch the video) and am in love with Lovely Lashes. At Haven house they were applying party lashes but if you venture to the salon you can get full lash extensions. Jacqueline (owner of Lovely Lashes and the woman in the photo with me) is just lovely herself and has a team of girls who are eyelash ninjas, applying party lashes so quickly and precisely!
