And The Winner Is....

Pebble Beach was such a welcome relaxing weekend but now that it is Monday we are back to work!  As you have noticed I have been posting a lot of interviews with women I adore and admire.  Kenyatta Jones is one of these women!  On March 11, 2010 Macy's had the SF Style Challenge.  It was such a fun night! I discussed spring trends in front of over 100 people and hosted the Style Challenge, you know how much I love a microphone.  The whole point was for two audience to play stylist and asked them to put together 3 various looks on different models.  The challenge was to create a "spring break" look, a "meet the (boyfriend's) parents" look and a "Kings of Leon concert" look in 4 minutes flat each!  The Style Studio team worked hard to prepare over 4 rolling racks worth of clothes, countless accessories, and shoes for the contestants to choose.  After 6 rockin' looks, the audience voted on the winner and Miss Kenyatta Jones won! Her creativity and fabulous creations were an instant hit and we just had to ask her some questions for the blogette!

Keylee: What was your favorite part about the Macys Style Challenge?

Kenyatta: Pulling the clothes and putting the looks together was definitely my favorite part. Oh and seeing the looks on the models.

Keylee: Where are you studying in school and what is your focus?

Kenyatta: Im studying image consulting at City College San Francisco and was recently accepted into the design and merchandising program at SF State.

Keylee: Why do you want to be a stylist?

Kenyatta: I love to look good and feel great and I want to make people feel that same way. I love love love to shop and put together looks so Styling is my dream job!

Keylee: Who is you favorite designer?

Kenyatta: Omg! This ones tough. I have so many. Of course I love the classics Chanel, YSL, Dior, but right now I love what Robert Rodriguez is doing.

Keylee: Who is your dream client?

Kenyatta: Halle Berry! She so beautiful and her style is so effortless. I would love to dress her.

Keylee: What is your favorite look you have worn? 

Kenyatta: This also a hard one. I have many favorite looks but for casual, a pair of skinny jeans, a flowy top or vneck, pair of sandels or wedges, throw on a leather jacket (depending on the weather), big chunky jewelry and I'm set!

Keylee: If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Kenyatta: Paris of course!

Keylee: Name three things you can't live without

Kenyatta: My cell phone (htc hero), my make up bag and my hair extensions lol

Keylee: Where do you find inspiration?

Kenyatta: I'm inspired by my life, my surroundings, my daughter, random people, music, anything really that peaks my interest.
